Finance Manager Bilingual Sherbrooke, Quebec JK Executive Strategies is partnering with a global leader in MED device manufacturing looking for its next Finance Manager.

The Finance Manager will undertake all aspects of financial management including corporate accounting, cost accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, as well as implementation of internal control policies and procedures, cash management, and supervision of all accounting staff for 2 locations.

The Finance Manager has responsibilities that will include appraisals of operating results in terms of costs, budgets, and policies of operations, trends and increased profit possibilities; financial management and control of both manufactured and distribution inventory; coordinating activitieswith other Specialty companies along within the parent-company for Consolidations and FP& A teams.

This position will provide financial analysis, planning, monitoring of performance and operational reports together with input to strategic development and business decisions Responsibilities: Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements, coordinating with parent-company Controllership teams for actual, budget, and forecast deliverables.

Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL and Counsel, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition.

Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.

Manage and comply with local, state, provincial, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.

Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.

Prepare and review journal entries as part of monthly close process.

Assist and support the implementation of new systems.

Support manufacturing inventory control and accounting, advising of the costs and efficiencies of proposed initiatives through cost modeling, to identify profit improvement opportunities.

Ensure proactive identification and escalation of potential issues to Director of Finance and functional management teams.

Provide analysis of variances vs.

budgets or forecasts, provide insight into the business in support of management initiatives and objectives.

Motivate and lead finance team members by clarifying roles and providing helpful feedback.

Supervise and manage accounting department staff and financial assistants.

Develop and implement process improvements to enable more efficient and accurate processing and reporting of results to tight deadlines.

Research technical accounting issues and provide guidance to the business.

Participate as a member of company’s leadership team in the formulation of the business strategies and share responsibility for the overall results.

Monitor and control the capital investments throughout the business.

Requirements: Experience with CAPEX and headcount planning.

Fluent in English and French.

7 + years of experience in a FP& A role including experience with full P& L analysis P&L experience including revenue, gross margin, operating expenses, and net income.

Understand Financial budgeting and modeling.

Ability to apply knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

Experience with Hyperion Essbase and Planning.

Should have 3+ years of managing staff.

Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills/modeling.

Strong reporting skills.

Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting is required, CPA or MBA a plus.
