Human resource administrators provide administrative and general human resources support to all military activities. Their primary duties are to provide pay and personnel support services, automated information management and corporate and general purpose administration.

  • Maintain a central registry
  • Apply military compensation and benefits

  • Maintain pay system and payroll accounting
  • Maintain personnel records

  • In the Regular Force, members work on bases and stations across Canada and on operational deployments around the world.
  • In the Reserve Force, members adapt their schedule to suit their needs. They can choose to work full time or part time on a voluntary basis.


  • For the REGULAR FORCE, the salary varies between $38016,00 and $116040,00/year depending on experience.
  • For the Reserve Force, the salary varies between $101.96 and $295.04 per day.

  • In the Reserve Force, members have the opportunity to work only in their own region.

The minimum requirements for enrollment in the Canadian Armed Forces are: 

  • To be aged between 16 and 57 years old 
  • To be a Canadian citizen 
  • To have completed at least 24 secondary school units (Secondary 4 and / or 5); OR Have obtained a Professional Diploma; OR Have obtained a certificate of equivalence at the secondary level (AENS-TENS); OR Have acquired General Educational Development (GED).
