Our services range from design, integration, start-up, installation, training and project management.Level One has a strong global presence with locations in Canada, US, Mexico, Thailand and South Africa with a team of 200 highly qualified engineers and technicians equipped with strong technical knowledge in industrial automation with many years of experience, ensuring professionalism on all projects while exacting the highest quality standards.Job DescriptionImmediate full-time positions for intermediate to high-level EPLAN Electrical Designers.For Local Designers ONLY No remote work availableResponsibilitiesDesign Control System using Beckhoff or Siemens PLC, IOs system, Motor control with VFD or Servo Controller and instrumentation sensors system to meet the system requirement.Design Power Distribution System using EPLAN Electrical P8 CAD system.

The design needs to meet the NFPA79, IEC 60204-1, UL 508A Standards.

Design Safety Interlock System including component selection using ISO 13849-1 requirement.Implementation (UL1740, ANSI/RIA15.06, ISO 10218 compliant) control reliable safety systems for safeguarding robots, gantries, conveyors, and other high volume manufacturing equipment.Candidate will design and specify control system architecture requirements, PLC/controllers, Networks, BUS Power distribution, Motor control, IOs, instrumentation devices and cabling systems.Provide training to the equipment support and maintenance teamSelect and size electrical and electromechanical components such as servos.Ability to work under pressure, tight deadlines and High attention to detail.Strong Ethics to work and be fully productive without supervisionQualificationsEducation:Electrical Engineering diploma, preferably Bachelor / Associate Degree(Required)ExperienceFull Proficiency with EPLAN Electrical P8 version 2.7 or higher on designing electrical control panel, control system wiring and instrumentation at least 3 years experience.

REMOTE WORK REQUIRES MINIMUM 10 YEARS EXPERIENCE.Proficiency selecting appropriate circuit protectors, wire and cable, sensors, safety hardware, PLC hardware, remote I/O, VFD, servo systems, and key electrical control components.In depth knowledge of Electrical Standards (NFPA 79, IEC 60204-1, UL508A).In depth knowledge of Safety standards (ISO 13849-1, UL 1740, ANSI/RIA15.06, ISO 10218).Familiar with CE and European requirement for machinery including EMCFamiliar with Beckhoff and Siemens overall control system/components and has proven tracked record of previous projects implementation.Familiar with EtherCat, FSoE, ProfiNet and ProfiSafeProficiency programming and tuning variable frequency drivesExposure to a wide variety of production machinery, industrial sensors, and equipment utilizing: LVDT and pressure transducers, encoder, proximity, level, optical, temperature controllersFamiliar with Electrical interface and system wiring of Fanuc and Kuka robotsExperience with Vision systems (Cognex, Keyence, Fanuc) electrical integrationExperience creating technical specifications for automated manufacturing equipment is highly desiredExperience transitioning products and processes from prototype to production desired.Experience with chemical process control and industrial heating system is a plus.Knowledge of production quality metrics is a plusScheduleFor Local Designers ONLY No remote work availableCOVID-19 ConsiderationsPrecautions are taken according to Customer’s policies on site.Additional InformationFor more information please visit www.Leveloneinc.ComAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
