Sherbrooke O.E.M Ltd, is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our team. Together, we design and build large recycling systems that feature our patented Optical and Robotic AI advanced technologies. As a growing company we need individuals who are hands-on and looking to grow along with our company which is expanding quickly. We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer who is a self-starter, thinks creatively, and consistently brings a standard of excellence.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Adjustment, inspection, diagnosis and minor repair of waste sorting systems.
  • Reading electrical plans and a good understanding of control system is essential.
  • Follow-up on the orders for the manufacturing of the sorting system and the factory control panels.
  • Follow the manufacturing of the sorting system and factory control panels.
  • Follow the installation of the sorting systems and the connection of controls.
  • PLC (Ladder) and HMI programming
  • Customer technical support (French and English)

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Electrical Engineering or similair domain
  • 1-5 years of experience
  • Highly organized, self-motivated individual who can work independently as well as work effectively in a collaborative team environment
  • Ability to multi-task, work under pressure, self-identify problems and consistently meet deadlines
  • Bilingual (Required to be able to speak in English)
  • Willingness to tackle new or challenging tasks
  • Ability to work overtime with occasional travel when needed
  • Experience working with recyling systems (An asset)
