PLM, Global Sourcing Expert


This is a Contract position in Sherbrooke, QC posted July 30, 2022.


  1. We are in the process of rolling out a new product lifecycle management system (PLM).  This project, which is part of our Fix, Improve, Transform (FIT) program, is being implemented in parallel with the installation of SAP S4 Hana, which will transform the way all our motorsports group sourcing teams work.  
  2. The Global Sourcing PEMO Vehicle team is looking for a Global Sourcing Specialist to work in the PLM project team in order to put in place effective work tools and processes for the development of our new products.
  3. For this unique post, which requires specific knowledge of our company and processes, the successful candidate will be attached to the product development team for the first 6 to 8 months of their role, then join the PLM rollout team for approximately 24 to 36 months.  This will mean that you will be able to fully understand and gain in-depth knowledge of our current business processes and thus be able to identify the opportunities for transformation available to us.


  • First 6–8 months
    • Learning program for the roles, responsibilities and business processes involved in product development within the Global Sourcing team.
    • Act as project lead in close collaboration with supplier quality assurance and product development buyers.
  • Subsequent months
    • Act as a specialist and representative of global sourcing business processes for the project management, development purchasing, development supplier quality assurance, supplier development, value analysis, strategic purchasing, and accessories development departments.
    • Actively participate in demonstrations and presentations of the functions of the PLM software by the supplier.
    • Participate in workshops with business stakeholders and the supplier in order to define their requirements regarding product development and project management for the functionalities relating to quality and development purchasing (progress reports, change notifications, master plan, drawings and their revisions, etc.).
    • Define future processes, monitor their development in PLM perform acceptance tests and assist with the rollout of the new solution.
    • Take part in the training and change management required at all stages of the project.
    • Perform other related tasks and take up related responsibilities that may be assigned to you from time to time, as needed.


  • Bachelor’s degree in administration, operations management or a related field.
  • Knowledge of and experience in using a project management system and/or PLM system. In-depth knowledge and interest in SAP ECC or SAP S4 Hana an advantage.
  • Work experience in the field of manufacture and new products launches desirable.
  • Strong interest in continuous improvement and change management, excellent attention to detail and organizational skills, ability to work in a project environment.
  • Aptitude for problem solving; able to resolve problems and react rapidly.
  • Comfortable with abstract and conceptual subjects such as business process modeling.
  • Works well individually and in a team. Can communicate effectively with a range of different people.
