HR Technician, Talent Onboarding Experience – Canada

This is a Contract position in Sherbrooke, QC posted May 22, 2023.

Things move very quickly at BRP and we need our new employees to be up and running as quickly as possible. The HR Technician – Talent Onboarding Experience will be tasked with assisting HR, Onboarding and Integration Advisers with all aspects of onboarding new employees for our Canada locations.  Successful onboarding allows a new employee to enthusiastically integrate our culture and DNA into their daily work life as if it were second nature.  Using your legendary organizational and planning skills, you’ll support every step of a successful welcome to BRP.  If you are a great collaborator, a great organizer and your Google calendar is your best friend, you are definitely the right person for us.

  1. Are you enthusiastic about everything you do? So are we.
  2. Do you want to participate in improving the welcome of our new employees?
  3. Are you motivated by a desire to create a meaningful impact and a sense of purpose?

  • As an HR Technician – Talent Onboarding Experience, you will contribute to our success in onboarding and make a difference in the journey of our new employees.
  • Reporting to the Manager – HR Operations Canada, you will work closely with the entire Onboarding team.
  • Pre-placement coordination of new employees.

In collaboration with HR Advisers, Onboarding and Integration, you will support the pre-hire process, i.e. the steps prior to the arrival of a new employee:

  • You will prepare the necessary documents for the administrative aspects of the arrival of a new employee (hiring form, obtaining a photo, group insurance form, etc.).
  • You will ensure that all our hiring tools are kept up to date: welcome and integration platform, welcome kit, sample emails, etc.
  • You will be responsible for processing various reports and updating various databases related to hiring.

Organization of welcome and integration activities

  • Plan, coordinate and ensure the logistics of welcome and integration sessions (different activities dedicated to new employees in their first month of work).
  • Support the HR, Welcome and Integration Advisers in the continuous improvement of these early days in order to offer an exceptional welcome to new BRP employees.
  • Plan, coordinate and ensure the logistics of the entire annual calendar of the Human Resources Welcome and Integration team, i.e. all our networking and discovery activities dedicated to new employees in their first year of work.
  • Ensure a feedback loop with employees.
  • Update the results of the new employee surveys.

  • A college diploma in a relevant field (administration, human resources, tourism, etc.).
  • At least 3 years experience in a similar position.
  • Great organizational skills with a great ability to plan and the ability to handle different files simultaneously.
  • Strong written and oral communication in French and English.
  • A positive team player who is committed to providing a great experience for newly hired employees.
  • A customer-focused approach in all that you do.

The selected candidate must be able to travel to Valcourt approximately 2-3 times a week.

Let’s start with a strong foundation — You want it, we have it:

  • Annual bonus: we work hard, and we know it. This yearly thank you is our way to fuel your dreams.
  • Generous paid time away: winding down is as important as creating the future of recreational products.
  • Pension plan: we want to make sure you’ll enjoy retirement; we’ve got you covered.
  • Collective saving opportunities: being part of BRP allows you to tap into the strength of our saving programs.
  • Industry leading healthcare: fully paid by BRP, this program is here for you, whatever happens, so you can focus on what matters.

What about some feel good extras:

  • Flexible work schedule: balance is key to innovation, and we want to make sure you are at the top of your game with a schedule that will work for you.
  • Summer schedule: time flies at BRP, so we hit pause to enjoy it.
  • Holiday season shutdown: between Christmas and New Year’s, we close our facilities and refill on good times.
  • Educational resources: you love what you do, and we get you resources to stay cutting-edge, so we all win together.
  • Discount on BRP products: what we build is amazing, freeing, revolutionary, and you’re first in line for the experience.
