Design for Service Lead, New Product Development

BRP

This is a Contract position in Sherbrooke, QC posted September 21, 2022.

Being the ambassador and voice of our customers and distribution network translating their requirements to drive a compelling service value proposition into the design and engineering of our products.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collect, own, provide clear service objectives and drive serviceability requirements for new products.
  • Participate, lead design reviews and follow during the development process, providing input on the serviceability of new concepts and designs of the vehicles.
  • Work closely with the Product Management and the Customer Experience Teams to define service strategies.
  • Analyse and benchmark the serviceability requirements for the 3WV and Ski-Doo products and define project specific Service Go To Market strategies to ensure service readiness at launch.
  • Act as an information facilitator with teammates and internal stakeholders.
  • Lead Service-related activities throughout the product development cycle.
  • Participate and be exposed to opportunities in process optimization to enhance service engineering with greater customer centricity to further develop data-driven methodology for service requirements.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Be passionate about the cost of ownership, vehicle repair and customer lifetime value
  • Bachelor degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or a relevant track record experience in design for service playfield
  • Experience in serviceability and repairability processes in product development is an asset
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in project management and process improvement
  • Effective communicator
  • Rigor
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Tight connection with BRP products and values.
