Program Delivery Manager

BRP

This is a Contract position in Sherbrooke, QC posted May 22, 2023.

The Program Delivery Manager is dedicated to helping continuously improve performance through new and innovative business solutions.

The Program Delivery Manager is responsible for managing their assigned portfolio from inception to completion. This includes maintaining the list of priorities for project definition and delivery, project management decision package development and overseeing the delivery of approved projects. They are responsible for ensuring that appropriate project teams are built, and risks are managed to successfully deliver business projects.

Reporting to the Director Program Delivery, the selected candidate will lead a cross functional program delivery team, composed of diversified highly skilled managers and professionals.

The position requires excellent communication and leadership skills, extensive knowledge of the business area and strategic business acumen. The incumbent will work closely with clients, IS&T, the PMO and project delivery team.

YOU’LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:

  • Be responsible for project delivery
  • Oversee the full lifecycle of Tower projects, from inception to implementation.
  • Manage the confirmation and prioritization of projects in the portfolio, including the development of decision packages.
  • Monitor and act on program performance indicators.
  • Work with the Solution Lead, architects and project managers to build and track project delivery based on business priorities, as well as technical, financial and resource capacity dependencies and constraints.
  • Source resources, manage and optimize delivery capacity.
  • Work with the finance team to oversee the financial aspects of projects.
  • Work with the PMO to follow delivery processes.
  • Coordinate new resource sourcing and onboarding.
  • Provide coaching for Project Managers and Business analysts assigned to strategic projects.

As a manager of the resources assigned to projects

  • Supervise the development and performance of internal project delivery resources (employees).
  • Supervise the performance of project managers and BAs assigned to projects (consultants).
  • Monitor program performance indicators.

THIS ROLE IS A GOOD FIT IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:

  • A bachelor’s degree in administration, commerce, management, computer science or a related discipline. A master’s degree would be an asset.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience as a project manager for IS/IT solution delivery.
  • Demonstrated solid leadership skills.
  • A proven ability to work and collaborate in a complex environment and effectively influence a diverse team of stakeholders and business leaders.
  • Solid problem-solving skills.
  • Strong analytical and information processing skills.
  • The ability to influence, persuade and initiate change.
  • The ability to set priorities and perform tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • An extensive background in a collaborative, team-run environment.
  • Good judgment and discretion in dealing with sensitive situations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and oral/written communication skills.
  • High stress tolerance.
  • Fluency in spoken and written French and English.
