As a member of the Global Service Parts Planning and Purchasing Team, the Department Manager is responsible for developing and implementing efficient parts planning, purchasing and inventory strategies to ensure that we continue to meet competitive market demands while achieving our corporate objectives.
As a member of the Global Planning and Forecasting Team, you will collaborate closely with the Demands Planning Team to develop a sourcing plan strategy based on supplier network capacity. You will also play an active role in the currently evolving S&OP process.
YOU WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:
- Manage the recruitment, performance and development of team members.
- Deliver quarterly financial forecasts and reports on the price variation of raw materials.
- Optimize forecasts and purchasing requirements in line with demand, inventory and lead times.
- Implement the strategy for the parts life cycle and last buy.
- Collaborate on the deployment strategy to improve the product availability rate.
- Implement and/or maintain the various work tools and business processes necessary for the department to run smoothly.
- Liaise with suppliers located across the globe.
YOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:
- A bachelor’s degree in administration, engineering or equivalent.
- A minimum of 7 to 10 years of experience in spare parts management, purchasing and supply planning.
- Fluency in English and French, written and verbal (Spanish would also be an asset).
- Versatility, autonomy, accuracy and excellent analytical skills.
- A good communicator and proven leader.
- An ability to maintain professional relationships with stakeholders.
- An ability to organize workloads, prioritize and work within a team.
- Proficiency in using SAP S4 and SAP IBP would be an asset.
- Available to travel.
