Agilus Work Solutionsis looking for a highly motivated and passionateElectrical Design Engineering Manager for our client an industry leader specializing in design services in industrial and mechanical engineering!Job Description:The Electrical Design Engineering Manager will be leading a team of 3-6 Electrical Design Engineers and Technicians working on various projects.

Job Responsibilities The responsibilities and authorities for this position include, but are certainly not limited to:
·Completion of fit-for-purpose designs that meet the client’s needs and requests.
·Preparation of quality reports and calculation packages as project deliverables.
·Work with supervising engineers and designers on various projects collaboratively to complete design drawings with appropriate level of detail.
·Interfacing with other disciplines and project management to execute the project as per plan.
·Technical experience in one or more of the following areas is considered an asset
·Assures quality by designing electrical testing methods; testing finished products and system capabilities.
·Ensure designs are cost effective and meet required performance objectives through specification review and the practical application of engineering principles, design procedures, and industry standards.
·Perform assessments for clients to identify potential energy saving projects and assist preparing business cases for investment in energy efficiency.
·Review and check all assigned project electrical installation drawings for compliance with all company and project instructions (One-line diagrams, electrical equipment location drawings, plan drawings, details, schematics, wiring diagrams, etc.) including vendor technical submittals for installation requirements.
·Design, implement, maintain, and improve electrical instruments, equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes
·Prepare specifications for purchase of materials and equipment.
·Prepare electrical calculations in accordance with the relevant Canadian, American and International Standards.
·Prepare proposals and estimate of man hour budgets.
·Provide day to day electrical support for ongoing field operations, required to conduct field checks.
·Compile data and write reports regarding existing and potential engineering studies and projects.
·Oversee project production efforts to assure projects are completed satisfactorily, on time and within budget.Job Requirements:
·Bachelor’s degree inElectrical Engineering
·10+ years’ experience in industrial and/or facility engineering
·Professional Engineer (P.

Eng) designation in Ontario required
·Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) in Michiganconsidered an asset
·Experience performing design in a manufacturing/industrial environment.

Preferably in distribution and automationProficiency with/exposure to; oPower modeling software (ETAP, EasyPower, and/or SKM).oDesign/drafting capability would be considered an asset (AutoCAD, MicroStation, Revit).oLighting system software utilization.
·Demonstrated knowledge of relevant electrical codes, safety and environmental legislation and regulations
·Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office Software including Project required
·Experience with the design and engineering analysis of complex electrical systems and issues
·Experience creating Bid documents, focusing on scope creation
·Able to communicate ideas and recommendations to non-engineer team members in a clear manner
·Work experience designing HV substations, hydroelectric plants, MV andLVdistribution systems, and large electrical systems required
·Work experience with fire alarms, lighting and emergency power generation preferred
·Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills
·Able to apply right mathematical methods and formulas to problem solving
·Able to create alternative solutions to problems
·Excellent time management and project management skills
·High level of sound and independent judgment and reasoning
·Demonstrated ability to exercise necessary cost control measures
·LEED Accreditation would also be considered an asset
·Willingness to travel both domestically and internationally
