It Systems Analyst (Help Desk)

The Role Our client, a leading global flexible packaging company is looking to bring on a IT Systems Analyst in their Etobicoke warehouse, with some additional travel to their Markham warehouse.

This role has a significant service desk component, and as such is a great opportunity for someone with customer service, ticketing, and troubleshooting experience.

Position Summary This position is responsible for meeting the goals and objectives of the organization by effectively provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure.

Participate in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure.

Ensure system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational values and goals of the company.

Provides Server/Network support services; including hardware/software installation, troubleshooting, and problem resolution Manage and monitor all installed computer systems, server, storage, network and telephony infrastructure on premise and cloud based Proactively maintain infrastructure to ensure security and availability for end users Administer servers, software deployment, updates and patches Investigate and recommend new technologies and products that would benefit the overall server/network infrastructure Manage Active Directory: create users, groups, update user access, disable (or occasionally delete) user accounts Provide 2nd and 3rd level end user technical support Work with vendors and other IT staff for project development and problem resolution Completes work requests and special projects, as assigned Performs related duties as required Qualifications, Education and Experience Bachelors Degree in Information Technologies, or equivalent combination of experience, relevant IT certifications and credentials Experience supporting a multi-site enterprise environment Enterprise Office 365 in a hybrid federated deployment (Microsoft Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, Skype for Business, PBX, PSTN Conferencing) Experience with Microsoft Azure Cloud Services, VMware Horizon/Workspace One, VMware ESXi 5/6 in mutli-site configuration application packaging and Windows update deployments using Microsoft SCCM Microsoft server operating systems 2008 R2 through 2019 Active Directory/ADFS/IIS/Microsoft SQL/Microsoft Exchange/SharePoint/Skype for Business Networking (Cisco switching and routing, layer 2 VLANS; layer 3 routing, TCP/IP, MPLS, VPN) Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, SharePoint and Outlook Ability to communicate (written, verbal, presentation) effectively with all levels of the organization and cross culturally Proven problem-solving skills from problem assessment to solution selection; ability to identify alternatives and make contingency plans.

Advanced organizational problem solving, consensus building and conflict resolution skills Must be capable of understanding project and business requirements; and how these requirements apply to complex enterprise systems and interfaces Maintains strict confidentiality and protects privacy of confidential/sensitive information.

Exceptional time management and organization skills.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously establishing priorities to meet deadlines.
