This is a Contract position in Sherbrooke, QC posted July 27, 2022.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

You are responsible for the proper execution of the S&OP process, and for this you will:

  • Coordinating the S&OP (sales & operations planning) process: Leading inter-departmental discussions at executive level and decision-making with the aim of optimizing product availability and inventories. 
  • Working closely with the various parties involved to consolidate sales forecasts for parts and accessories by becoming the privileged interlocutor of
    different departments
  • Ensuring that these forecasts are achieved throughout the supply chain.
  • Analyzing any variances between results and forecasts, and proposing potential solutions to achieve the overall plan.
  • Ensuring that all decisions made in the various meetings for the monthly cycle are followed up and executed.
  • As part of their mission, the coordinator will be called upon to actively participate in the definition and deployment of the process, tool development (dashboards, performance measures) and the mobilization of teams.
  • In addition, they will need to coordinate the following activities on a monthly basis:
  • Preparing and leading all Product reviews, Regional Demand reviews, Supply reviews and S&OP meetings.
  • Preparation for S&OP meetings: Coordinating the reconciliation of demand and capacity plans, preparing and analyzing the various scenarios, and understanding their financial implications 
  •  Working with the parties involved from various functions to identify the decisions that need to be presented at the S&OP meeting.  Having responsibility for ensuring that all necessary inputs for the meeting are provided in line with the schedule and shared.
  •  Facilitation of meetings: Leading the meetings, ensuring that information relevant to decision-making is presented, that the parties involved are engaged, that the decisions are made and that action plans are put in place.
  • Follow-up of action plans: Communicating the decisions to all relevant functions/departments and teams, including the S&OE (“sales and operations execution”) process.  Ensuring actions are completed and escalating as necessary.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • At least 8 years of experience in roles related to overall supply chain planning in a global context, including 5 years in a management role.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of processes related to demand planning, product introduction, material planning and S&OP.
  • Self-taught with good organizational skills.
  • Ability to see the bigger picture—ease of communicating in a clear, concise and impactful manner.
  • Skilled in negotiations and conflict resolution.
  • Proven experience in facilitating meetings, with parties involved with various levels of seniority and different roles.
  • Strong social skills—ability to build and maintain trusting relationships.  Great credibility.
  • Proactivity, sense of initiative and autonomy.
  • Process orientation—ability to define operational requirements and implement processes and tools to support them.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to intuitively identify what is important and what should be prioritized.
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Operations and Logistics (or other related field) Management profile—MBA an advantage.
  • Bilingual fluency in French and English (written and spoken) required.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI) (an advantage).
